Position Summary:
The Apple Fleet Manager is responsible for the administration management and support of all Apple devices (iPads MacBooks and other Apple hardware) within the districts K-12 environment. This position leverages Mosyle MDM (Mobile Device Management) to ensure secure efficient and scalable deployment configuration and ongoing support of Apple technology. The Apple Fleet Manager plays a critical role in supporting teaching and learning by ensuring Apple devices are reliable compliant and aligned with district policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the districts Apple ecosystem using Mosyle MDM.
- Oversee the enrollment deployment and lifecycle management of iPads MacBooks and other Apple devices.
- Develop implement and maintain device policies configurations restrictions and compliance standards.
- Manage application deployment and licensing for instructional and administrative use.
- Coordinate iOS/macOS updates security patches and feature rollouts to minimize classroom disruption.
- Collaborate with instructional technology staff to align device configurations with curriculum and classroom needs.
- Document processes configurations SOPs and knowledge base articles for consistent operations and staff training.
- Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 technical support for Apple devices and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Monitor device performance utilization and compliance via Mosyle reporting and analytics.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure devices are properly managed secured and accounted for.
- Train school-based staff and technicians on Apple/Mosyle workflows and best practices.
- Stay current on Apple EDU programs Mosyle features and K-12 technology trends.
During slower periods this position will be expected to support Technology Team projects and day-to-day activities with responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience managing Apple devices in an enterprise or educational environment.
- Hands-on experience with Mosyle or Jamf Pro.
- Strong knowledge of iOS iPad OS and mac OS configuration and administration.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 integration with Apple devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document procedures clearly.
- Customer-service orientation with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) Apple Certified IT Professional or equivalent certifications preferred
- Experience in a K-12 school district environment.
- Experience providing training or professional development for technical staff.
Work Environment:
- Full-time 12-month position.
- District-wide support role requiring occasional travel to schools.
- May require evening or weekend work during major deployments or system upgrades.
