Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical owner of the Appian platform - including environment strategy configuration performance and stability.
- Plan and execute Appian upgrades patches capacity scaling and environment refreshes.
- Define and enforce architecture standards best practices design patterns and governance for Appian implementations.
- Collaborate with business delivery teams infrastructure information security and external vendors to ensure reliable and compliant platform operations.
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture security and performance requirements.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high priority incidents.
- Support DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for Appian deployments and promote modern automation practices.
- Maintain platform documentation runbooks and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of hands-on Appian experience including architecture and environment management.
- Strong understanding of Appian components: Records Data Fabric/CDTs SAIL process models integrations plug-ins RPA.
- Proven experience with upgrades performance tuning and environment configuration (Appian Cloud and self managed).
- Solid knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP queues JDBC).
- Experience working with security teams on SSO SAML/OIDC RBAC and platform hardening.
- Experience with identity and access management and platform security.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Appian Lead Developer certification.
- Experience working with Appian Support and vendor partners.
- Background in financial services or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automated testing and monitoring tools (Splunk/ELK/AppDynamics etc.).
