The Neurosurgery APP team manages patients on the inpatient floors and Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) caring for a diverse patient population including spine disease brain tumors hydrocephalus cerebrovascular disease neurotrauma and functional/stereotactic neurosurgery.

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Three 13-hour day shifts (approximately 5:30 AM 6:30 PM)
• Longer shifts support continuity of care and minimize patient handoffs

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adult neurosurgical patients in the inpatient setting
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Provide patient and family education
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists
• Participate in quality improvement education and APP student precepting

Qualifications:

• PA-C:Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program withcurrent Maryland PA licensure CDS and DEA certification
• ACNP: Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with current Maryland NP licensure CDS and DEA certification
• Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
• Provider Enrollment Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment for Medicare ordering purposes
• Must be fully credentialed by The Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Board before starting

Salary Range: Minimum 58.03/hour - Maximum 89.94/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
