Coventry Public Schools is seeking to hire a 7 hr/day Paraprofessional in the Strive program at Western Elementary School Must hold a Teacher Assistant Certification and have passed a praxis exam OR have a teacher Assistant certification and Associates OR at least an Associates degree in education. This is a union contracted 180 day position with compensation according to experience working in a comparable position in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); if successful applicant is not currently CPI certified training will be providedKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesExperience with children who have emotional behavioral concerns with de-escalation to assist in transitioning students into the general education to collect and monitor data as part of a behavior to work with a diverse team of to work in an environment with children who may have emotional and physical Responsibilities:As outlined in the standard Teacher Assistant job description.
