Position Summary

As an integralmember of the AdvancementteamtheAnnual GivingCoordinatoris responsible for the design execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program including coordination and collaboration with supporting initiatives in the areas of advancement services and donor relations.

This position will oversee direct mail and e-mail solicitation strategies and focus on strategically expanding theEverstandsannual giving program with a goal of significantly increasing the base of annual pacedand highly variable this role is best suited for an individual with deft interpersonal skills and collaborative instincts high adaptability and creativity strong communicative abilities and intellectual curiosity.

  • In partnership with theSenior Director ofAdvancementplan and implementallaspects ofEverstandsannual giving for the creation and routine updating of project plans as well as providing status updatesto key stakeholderson a defined frequency.
  • Design and manage a comprehensive direct mail and online giving programto include quarterly with Development Associate to deploy fundraising e-mails via Raisers Edge.
  • In collaboration with the Volunteer/CommunityEngagementCoordinator oversee the annual Red Stocking and Christmas Offering campaign with churches church groups and community partners.
  • Perform post-appealanalysesto refine and increase ROIin the future.
  • Support theAdvancement services teamon the preparation ofcorrespondence forannual givingdonors including solicitations pledge confirmationsand timely gift acknowledgments.
  • Assist Senior Director of Advancement in arrangingconductand coordinatingface-to-face meetings with existing and campus tours and community presentationsas needed.
  • Plan and manage stewardship and recognition activities forannual givingdonors. These may include but are not limited to creatinga new donor welcome packageor creatingannual giving societies.
  • Assist theSenior Director of Marketing and Developmentin implementing strategies to upgrade existingannualdonors to major and/or planned gift donorsas part of theAdvancementTeams moves management program.
  • Manage a portfolio of50 mid-rangeannualgivingprospects($500 - $1000)cultivating renewals and upgrades through a schedule ofstrategic engagementto includepersonal phone calls e-mailsand handwritten notes.
  • Develop coordinated communication and solicitation strategies involving mail direct mail email phoneface-to-face visits(Senior Director of Advancement and President/CEO to conduct these types ofvisits) and fundraising volunteers.
  • Submitbudgetsforannual givingactivities including but not limited to mail house services postage subscriptions all invoices for annual giving using the teams defined workflow.
  • Work withtheSenior Directorof Advancementto establish revenue goals forthefiscal yearandkeyannual giving activities.
  • Collaborate with theSenior Director ofAdvancementto establishdonoracquisition retention and renewalbenchmarks as well asregular reporting processes to measuretheresults of allannual givingactivities.
  • Work effectively withother members of thefrontline fundraising teamtoidentify new donors and build strategies for engaging and encouraging donors to give at higher levels.
  • Work closely withVolunteer/ CommunityEngagement Managerto implement a program to engage volunteers in becoming supporters of the annual giving campaign.
  • Implementdonor retentionandoutreachtechniques such as but not limitedto LYBUNT/SYBUNTphone calls and follow-ups gift anniversary remindersmessaging segmentationin-personand virtual meetingsetc.
  • Participate in monthly pipeline meetings with a team of frontline fundraisers.
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed.
  • Submitdonor-centered newsevents and activitiesto the Marketing Team. Ensure the team has the schedule of key annual giving activities that require promotion on social and on BCC websites.
  • Periodically enter giftsinour CRM and send donor acknowledgement letters.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Partner with the President/CEOSenior Director of Advancementto attain 100% participation among members of the Board of Directors annually (fiscal year).
  • Assist in buildingEverstandsphilanthropiccase for support.
  • Support the creation ofcontent forEverstands social media website andblog.
  • Build basic queries andrun basicreports within Raisers EdgeNXT.
  • Supporta wide variety ofeventsincludingstaff appreciation client-facing eventssignature eventsand other fundraisers.
  • Support theSeniorDirector of Advancementontheimplementation of team initiativesand KPIsas they support the organizations long-term strategy.
  • Participate inannual budget development process for theAdvancementTeam.
  • Participateas requestedinaccreditation efforts as well as other internal workgroups.
  • Assist in orienting new employees to Everstandas needed.

  • Possess a high degree of soundjudgmentand discretion wheninteracting with donors who support the agencys mission-critical work.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and abilityto multi-task and balance projects at various stages simultaneously.
  • Skilled writer with the ability to synthesize organizational needs ininspiring and motivational ways. Understanding of strengths-based and donor-centered language a plus.
  • Strongcommunicationfollow-upand interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines establish priorities set objectives and achieve goals.

  • Comfortable interacting with prospects and donors one-on-one and in small group settings as well as addressinglarger groups at events and other gatherings.

  • Possess a generalunderstanding of moves management concepts and ability to strategically implement relationship strengthening activities in support oftheMajor and Planned Giving programs as well as Volunteer/CommunityEngagement.

Required Education and Experience

  • BachelorsDegreeor equivalent.
  • 3years ofrelevant experience in non-profits and frontline fundraising.
  • At least one year ofCRM experienceRaisers Edge NXTstrongly preferred.
  • Computer literacyincludesMicrosoft OfficeSuiteAsana ZoomandMicrosoft Teams.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to demonstrate the possession of a valid drivers license prior to employment and the ability to maintain the license and operate a motor vehicle thereafter.
  • Ability to pass CPS/UII background check both prior to employment and per the schedule outlined by HR thereafter.
  • Ability to pass a Tuberculosis Test both prior to employment and per the schedule outlined by HR thereafter.
  • Ability to pass a work-readiness physical performed by a certified medical professional both prior to employment and per the schedule outlined by HR thereafter.
  • Ability to pass a Federal and State Fingerprinting Background Check both prior to employment and per the schedule outlined by HR thereafter.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen via urinalysis both prior to employment and randomly thereafter.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct reports.
  • Training supervision and management of volunteers needed on occasion.

Position Type/Hours

This is a full-time positionbased on our Baltimore Campus. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is eligible to participate inEverstands flex schedule policy withonceweekly telecommuting privilegesand is considered non-essential for any weather or other office closing events. Due to the nature of Development work this position may sometimes require work outside normal business hours. Travel is required on at least a weekly basis. A company vehicle will be provided as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones scanners photocopiers filing cabinetsand fax a live residential and educational environment. Therefore employees may experience conditions in which challenging behavior can be exhibitedbyprogram participants. This may include but is not limitedtophysical agitation physical violenceand/or emotional outbursts.
