Position Overview
The Anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical specialties while working closely with surgeons nursing staff and perioperative teams to deliver safe high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Anesthesia Services
Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical and procedural cases
Conduct comprehensive pre-operative patient evaluations
Develop individualized anesthesia care plans
Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and provide post-anesthesia care
Surgical Case Coverage
Provide anesthesia services for procedures including:
Endoscopy
Orthopedic Surgery
General Surgery
Urology
Spine Surgery
Vascular Surgery
ENT (Otolaryngology)
Patient Safety & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with surgeons nurses and perioperative staff
Ensure adherence to evidence-based anesthesia practices and patient safety standards
Respond to perioperative emergencies as needed
Documentation & Quality
Maintain accurate anesthesia records and procedural documentation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of New York
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered team-based care

Approximately 1:5 call rotation
Call weeks run Wednesday through Tuesday
Approximately 910 call weeks annually
Includes 12 holiday call assignments per year
