Job Description:

Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate (SL-2)

Salary: $51261

The Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University ( is seeking candidates for a full-time position as Instructional Support Associate for the anatomy and physiology laboratory courses beginning Fall 2026.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching in-person anatomy and physiology laboratory sections (including evening labs).
  • Weekly grading ordering supplies and preparing materials for laboratory courses in anatomy and physiology.
  • Participating in weekly meetings to support scheduling and coordination of instructional support activities in the laboratory spaces on campus.
  • Assisting with the handling dissection and disposal of preserved mammalian specimens (including cats) .
  • Coordinating communicating and collaborating with faculty and staff.
Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in biology or a related field
  • Organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to workwith a diverse group of individuals.

Preference:

  • Masters degree (or higher) in biology or a related field
  • Training or experience in anatomy and physiology
  • Laboratory experience
  • Work experience at the college level
  • Experience in assisting in teaching anatomy and physiology courses
