Job Description:
This Coordinator plays a pivotal role within Patient Access Services (PAS) providing operational data analysis and project coordination support to PAS leadership. This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional who excels in data interpretation organization and clear communication.This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing key operational data including productivity registration volumes and workqueue volumes within Epic to assist with leadership decision-making. The Coordinator also serves in a project coordination capacity for PAS initiatives including attending meetings tracking action items and driving follow-up activities to completion.
The Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of QA and the Patient Access Services leadership team by maintaining accurate timely reporting and ensuring PAS initiatives stay on track while identifying trends and opportunities within operational and denial data that inform future-state improvements.
Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 2-3 years related experience
- Preferred: Previous healthcare revenue cycle management experience
Skills
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high-level proficiency in Excel (pivot tables formulas reporting)
- Ability to synthesize data into clear actionable summaries for leadership
- Strong project coordination skills able to track action items deadlines and follow-up across multiple initiatives
- Excellent time management organization prioritization and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to write effective documentation for processes and procedures
- Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to research and interpret regulatory/payer requirements related to denials and translate impact to team workflows
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with all levels of leadership and front-line staff
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Preferred: Industry certification such as CRCR CHAA or other relevant certification
