Job Summary
We have an opening for an Analytical Chemist at the Analyst level:
- Perform hands-on laboratory work with limited supervision
- Interpret analytical data from a variety of techniques (including FT-IR NMR GC-MS and/or LC-MS)
- Write basic reports which includes methodology conclusions and supporting analytical data
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment under firm deadlines
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including Excel Word Outlook etc.)
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
- Maintain analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot problems when necessary
- Author standard operating procedures and demonstrate the ability to follow procedures
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
Qualifications :
EDUCATION
- B.S. in Chemistry with good understanding of theory and related techniques and related operations is required.
- Experience with MS 365 (e.g. Word Excel) and basic computer systems
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of industrial experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge with sample preparation and data interpretation. Direct experience with chromatography techniques (e.g. GC/FID GC/MS HPLC/UV) is preferred.
Additional Information :
Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of St. Louis MO are encouraged to apply.
