Position: Analytical Chemist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65$75/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in Chemistry and Chemical Safety labeled as benign dual-use and adversarial.
• Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard to ensure correct handling.
• Write reference answers with technical reasoning for correct responses.
• Differentiate routine professional questions from those fishing for misuse.
• Collaborate with practitioners to draw reliable lines in dual-use scenarios.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Experience in detection and identification of hazardous compounds using GC-MS LC-MS/MS IR NMR.
• Method development and validation for trace-level analysis.
• Background in environmental occupational or emergency-response sampling and analysis.
• Experience with reference standards spectral libraries and unknown identification.
• Laboratory accreditation QA/QC and proficiency testing.
