Job Summary

Description

Our Property Tax Analysts focus on real estate assessment review and appeals including analyzing assessments for appeal opportunities communicating with assessors drafting and filing appeals preparing documentation for hearings and attending hearings.

This position with be hybrid in our Houston TX office.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain client data

  • Prepare data requests for clients

  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met

  • Research and consult with assessors on various property tax issues

  • Ability to help the Lead coordinate and prioritize assignments and deadlines for team

  • Stay informed on property tax procedures by participating in training sessions and educational opportunities

  • Prepare the estimated property tax liability accruals for the client

  • Prepare valuation analyses for appeal decisions and/or use at hearings

Essential traits:

  • Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with leads and other teammembers

  • Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field

  • Ability to problem solve and make educated decisions

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Finance or related field ORa minimum of one years related work experience

  • Current property tax consultant license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation or willingness to obtain within three months of start date
