What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Supporting thesteeringand refiningofthe Lean cultureofScout as well as a unified production system in all departments for the scout motors production site and its management
  • Implementingand tracking of measures to increase productivityon the basis ofrelevant KPIsandcontribution to an overall plant productivity reporting system
  • Supporting theestablishment ofprocesses and optimization concepts for the productionprocesses
  • Reportingoftheproductivity and budget KPI of the plant
  • Evaluation of the time factor/laborrequirements andworking outof the production time credit
  • Supportingsite specific programs strategies communicationconceptsandobjectivesagreements
  • Support the designof workplaces and new work processes including their system-side mapping with work boardslayoutsand point planstaking into accountmethods walking routes supply of materials and vehicle sequence
  • Optimization of shift systems and production speedsin order tofit output andmanpowerrequirements
  • Ergonomic evaluation and design of work processes using themethodologyagreed in the company to enhance ergonomic workplaces
  • Participation in team internal projects and topic development concepts
  • This Role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors employees involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelinesstandardsand regulations

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location inColumbia South Carolina
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

  • 2 years of professional experience in automotive production
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical engineering or related fields. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Special skillsin Lean Management and IE like:
  • Factory systems for time factor calculations and process management
  • Industrial Engineering studies
  • Human Work Design Tools
  • Lean Management
  • MTM method
  • Continuous Improvement Process Management
  • Desirable skills
  • Moderation and Coordination of Optimization Workshops
  • Process planning and sequencing of product sequences
  • Product understanding and derivation of the effects on processesequipmentand ergonomics
  • Fundamental skills in office applications and presenting results to the team themanagementor the board
  • Skills in web-based applications
  • Costumer orientated skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $80000.00 - $97500.00
