Compensation:
Traveler Pay: $55$60/hr based on experience
Local Pay: $45$50/hr based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Device Technician to support cardiac device operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac electrophysiology cardiology pacemaker and ICD interrogation/programming and patient monitoring. This role requires strong technical communication and documentation skills while working collaboratively with clinical teams and patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform pacemaker and ICD interrogation and programming procedures
Support ambulatory cardiac device monitoring and electrophysiology operations
Assist with patient assessments documentation and device-related follow-up care
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and charge entry when applicable
Collaborate with physicians electrophysiology teams and clinical staff to support patient care
Educate patients families and staff regarding electrophysiological monitoring and device management
Monitor device performance and report abnormalities or concerns to clinical leadership
Ensure compliance with patient safety infection prevention and departmental protocols
Maintain accurate records and technical documentation related to cardiac device procedures
Support daily operational workflow within the ambulatory cardiology setting
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology Technology or equivalent education/experience preferred
Certifications:
Current AHA BLS Certification
Current AHA ACLS Certification
Current AHA PALS Certification
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience within specialty required
Minimum 2 years of pacemaker/ICD interrogation and programming experience required
Experience in cardiology electrophysiology cardiac device technology or MRI operations preferred
Required Skills:
Strong computer literacy and EMR documentation skills
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to educate patients families and healthcare staff effectively
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
