Installation Technicians work with equipment related to residential and business communications on an all-fiber RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary Duties:1. Prepare various types of cables2. Install various types of splice closures3. Field polish connectors4. Competently operate a light source and power meter5. Work with equipment such as telephone systems routers fax machines internet-related equipment set top boxes wireless routers and network switches and make sure all work properly6. Troubleshoot to quickly correct problems as well as to maintain and inspect equipment before problems even arise7. Ensure that all cables and cable accessories required for television internet and phone are working properly and are in good working conditionPrimary Responsibilities:1. Provide excellent customer service Prompt attendance to scheduled job sites2. Obtaining and maintaining ALLO Communications required tool supply3. Safe handling of all products4. Accurate paperwork (time sheets change orders delivery tickets)5. Provide an excellent customer experience6. On-call rotations once trained to a competent levelEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: 1. Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job2. Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles3. Ability to work evenings and weekendsCOMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:1. General Knowledge of Microsoft OS2. Ability to logically work through problems in a logical manor3. Understanding of email clients and how to configure them4. Ability to run IP config ping trace and NS lookup5. Experience in wire fishing and pulling6. Able to identify version of windows email client and internet browser7. Able to run speed test on Allophone speed test server8. Knowledge and ability to work with power tools9. Flexible innovative and growth-oriented10. Time management and organizational skills
