ID: Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Description: Locals Accepted at travel rateWe are specifically looking for Pediatric ICU-trained Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Pediatric Emergency Department/TraumaFor these assignments and for transparency our expectations are as follows: 3x12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) 13-week contract duration Every other weekend requirement No block scheduling to ensure scheduling flexibility and support operational needs No more than three (3) requested days off during the 13-week contract period; this requirement is not negotiable No history of excessive call-outs as this has proven impactful to operations and patient care coverageRequirements: License: DC RRT License required - CAN ACCEPT PENDING. TAKES 6-8 WEEKS. Certifications: RRT BLS PALS (All required prior to start) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 3 years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers National Certs: Required RRT BLS PALSShifts Shift Structure: 3 or 4 shifts per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call: No Floating: Yes within scope. No RTO after initial offer. Unmade shifts may result in system-wide DNR. Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend/holiday required. One holiday guaranteed (list preference on RTO); second based on facility need. Submissions: Only 1 Childrens National location per traveler. Cannot be submitted by multiple agencies. Licensure: Active state license required at submission. DC applicants must apply within 24 48 hours of signing; pending accepted with application date proof/pending license # but active license required before start. MD/VA require compact or state license. Complete DC Self-Pay Checklist if applying independently. Locals: Accepted with no mileage restriction at same bill rate. Critical Care: Float between NICU/PICU/CICU; all ages. Compliance: Due Monday before start; no pending items. Restrictions: No license or background hits. Return Travelers: Must be separated from Childrens National for at least 1 year. Pre-start modules completed prior to orientation. Modules are nonbillable up to 20 hours.
