Position Summary The Medical laboratory technician performs routine automated and manual procedures verifies and reports test requests and results. Manages phone inquiries regarding patient results specimen collection and testing frequency. RRL staff uses the laboratory computer system to review report and call critical values to various healthcare professionals. Laboratory staff performs and documents quality control quality assurance and preventative maintenance on instrumentation. The laboratory also provides training for new staff and medical technology students. Medical laboratory technologists work under the direction of the Lab manager lead QualificationsFor Hire: Bachelor s degree in medical technology or biological science with MT certification. Must obtain MT certification within one year from the date of hire. On going: Meets mandatory hospital education and health surveillance requirements.
