LAZ Parking is seeking reliable Traffic Control Officers to support operations at Burbank Airport. This is an on-call event-based position with hours that vary based on airport activity and operational needs.

Important Note

This position is not a traditional part-time role with guaranteed weekly hours. Scheduling is based on airport operational demands and event activity. As a result hours may be limited during slower periods and increase during peak travel seasons or special events. The Spirit of the Position

The Traffic Control Officer helps maintain a safe efficient and organized traffic flow throughout airport roadways passenger pick-up and drop-off zones parking areas and transportation staging locations. This role is critical to ensuring a positive experience for travelers visitors airport employees and transportation providers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout designated airport areas.
  • Assist with traffic management during peak travel times and special airport events.
  • Help reduce traffic congestion and maintain safe traffic patterns.
  • Provide directional assistance to passengers visitors rideshare drivers shuttle operators and other airport guests.
  • Monitor assigned areas for safety concerns and operational issues.
  • Work independently or as part of a team while reporting to a field supervisor.
  • Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns.
  • Follow established airport client and company procedures at all times.
  • Support additional operational needs and special assignments as requested.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible on-call schedule.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic environments.
  • Must be dependable punctual and responsive to scheduling requests.
  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
