.This position has a base compensation range of $85000.00 to $105.000.00. In addition to this base compensation youll benefit from our competitive health and welfare programs a 401(k)-retirement savings plan opportunities for tuition assistance and incentive compensation for eligible positions. The Airfreight Supervisor - Healthcare will supervise the product team for his/her assigned area of responsibility. He / She will be responsible for that teams product compliance quality outcomes to internal and external stakeholders volume and revenue growth yield operating efficiency with a specific focus on productivity and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a liaison between the client vendors and government agencies
Actively pursues feedback from team members and customers to identify opportunities to increase service levels productivity and profitability
Acts as senior product subject matter expert
Analyzes service failures across multiple departments and actions or escalates findings to ensure their timely resolution and preventative measures are being taken (i.e. billing discrepancies claims delaysetc)
Assigns tasks as required to internal departments based on the nature of the request
Confirms shipment-level profitability and escalates any loss-making or low margin files
Controls commercial documentation required for export or import declaration and other regulatory agencies or requirements (AES DPS Hazmat AMS)
Monitors file profitability and escalates pro-actively to product and sales management to ensure that quoted services and pricing are adjusted to achieve profitability
Monitors assigns and ensures the resolution of any accounts payable issues within area of responsibility
Provides management with objective feedback regarding vendor performance levels escalates issues in a timely manner to ensure best level of service
Responsible for the export compliance including Denied Party Screening and AES filing
Responsible for the resolution of external billing disputes and collections ensuring their timely resolution
Measures analyzes and improves external or internal KPIs for area of responsibility
Validates product staff understand and comply with customer and company standard operating procedures
Manages staffing levels based on business development peak volume periods department performance metrics and employee vacations
Assists management by proactively providing input on talent acquisition re-assignment demotion and promotion
Conducts regular employee performance review meetings and sets performance goals to drive employee development
Ensures all assigned employees are trained certified and re-certified periodically
Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises employees and may supervise temporary employees from time to time based on projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Preferred to have either an Associates Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum five years of experience in the airfreight export role required
Two years of prior experience in a supervisory role preferred
Completion of any industry related course is an asset

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates discounts and other percentages
Analytical skills / problem-solving ability
Leadership skills able to train coach and develop subordinates
