Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Performs basic aircraft inspections repairs and modifications under close supervision.

  • Assists with movement of aircraft as required for maintenance and positioning tasks.

  • Properly completes CMP cards work order sign-offs and other paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.

  • Properly identifies and tags customer property and equipment and stores aircraft components securely.

  • Follows standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment including external power carts hydraulic power units hydraulic lift platforms forklifts and compressed gas cylinders.

  • Uses material tracking system to create parts demand and to charge labor to Work Orders items and squawks.

  • Properly collects and disposes of waste fuel oil hydraulic and de-icing fluids and solvent rags.

  • Applies 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops hangars and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.

  • Properly uses and maintains company-provided tools and equipment and returns items to designated storage area after use.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Valid Drivers License required.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or 2 years of aviation maintenance experience.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations process specifications Repair Station and Quality Control manuals and company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to perform basic aircraft inspections repairs and modifications under close supervision.

  • Ability to operate ground support equipment including external power carts hydraulic power units lift platforms forklifts and compressed gas cylinders.

  • Ability to use material tracking system for parts demand and labor charging.

  • Ability to properly collect and dispose of waste fluids and maintain clean work areas using 6S and Lean principles.

  • Ability to use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment and comply with safety rules and procedures.
