Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Aircraft Painting Fabrication Specialists to join our Manufacturing Center Back Shop team in San Antonio TX.

This position requires the candidate to mix paint work with chemicals preparation work to prep the parts for paint application work closely with other team members and the ability to work with others and share responsibilities The successful candidate will have the ability to search and read the specifications in the DPS and engineering drawings to complete assignments.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coat surfaces of aircraft with paint lacquer epoxy resin or other material using brushes rollers spray guns and other devices removes old paint from aircraft using liquid paint remover and scraper
• Smooth surface with sandpaper and steel wool roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface
• Mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted and paint insignia letters or numerals on aircraft surface using stencils
• Search and read the specifications in DPS engineering drawings

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience painting aircraft or aircraft parts
• Experience sanding taping and mixing material for the application of paint
• Ability to work a variable shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience working on military and commercial aircraft platforms
• Experience working with hazardous materials

Summary Pay Rate: $65300 / $31.39 per hour

Additive Pay:

• $1.00 per hour for Airframe Certification
• $1.00 per hour for Powerplant Certification
