JOB TITLE: Aircraft Inspector
LOCATION: Kinston NC
PAY RATE: $41.00/hr

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Uses predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems precision electromechanical assemblies and mechanical units.

  • Works from blueprints diagrams dial indicators preset micrometers scales fixtures customer specifications drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

  • Uses various measuring devices to inspect parts and assemblies.

  • Accepts rejects or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.

  • Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from previous lot are removed.

  • Performs dimensional inspection of parts or assemblies.

  • Initiates and documents non-conforming materials hardware parts or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.

  • Inspects vendor subcontractor or company parts and assemblies.

  • Follows a pre-determined sequence of work and prepares and maintains Quality records.

  • Uses precision measurement tools and interprets blueprints and drawings.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • WorkKeys Assessment completion or High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance quality control manufacturing operations or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.

  • Proficient in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in quality assurance quality control manufacturing operations or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of aviation Quality Management Systems Safety Management Systems and FOD programs.

  • Preferred: Experience with aerospace-specific tools such as SAP and MES systems.
