Summary:
-
Uses predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems precision electromechanical assemblies and mechanical units.

Works from blueprints diagrams dial indicators preset micrometers scales fixtures customer specifications drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

Uses various measuring devices to inspect parts and assemblies.

Accepts rejects or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
-
Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from previous lot are removed.

Performs dimensional inspection of parts or assemblies.
-
Initiates and documents non-conforming materials hardware parts or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.

Inspects vendor subcontractor or company parts and assemblies.

Follows a pre-determined sequence of work and prepares and maintains Quality records.

Uses precision measurement tools and interprets blueprints and drawings.
Requirements:
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

WorkKeys Assessment completion or High School Diploma or GED.
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance quality control manufacturing operations or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.

Proficient in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Preferred: 5 years of experience in quality assurance quality control manufacturing operations or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.

Preferred: Knowledge of aviation Quality Management Systems Safety Management Systems and FOD programs.

Preferred: Experience with aerospace-specific tools such as SAP and MES systems.
