Job Summary:
The purpose of the AE Supervisor is to safely run AE machines efficiently as possible to produce first quality carpet.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Keep sufficient amount of yarn opened for Airing Machines.
- Keep daily production records.
- Responsible for packaging yarn.
- Input case information into computer.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Lifting is required of yarn and packaging material weighing 1 20 lbs. approximately 90% of the shift.
- Standing is required 75% of shift for 20 30 minute intervals.
- Reaching is required for yarn approximately 90% of shift.
- Stooping is required periodically during shift.
- Bending is required approximately 200 times per shift to pack yarn.
- Must be able to use snips and scissors approximately 20 30% of shift.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write and do basic addition subtraction division and multiplication.
- Must be computer trainable (data entry).
- Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete proper lift truck training.
Other Requirements:
- Safety equipment must be worn as required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
- Overtime is required on occasion.
