Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform skilled fitting and/or mechanical or hydraulic type assembly of parts sub-assemblies and related units using a variety of hand tools power tools or equipment

• Perform in-depth inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards

• Do aligning adjusting and required secondary machining

• Work from drawings and specifications and shop orders

• Use required precision measuring instruments and gauging devices

• Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables

• Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel

• Keep accurate production records/logs etc.

• Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

• Protect Chamberlain Groups and Systems reputation by keeping information confidential

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reading professional publications establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies

• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No minimum education required

• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or can demonstrate sufficient competence in area

• Intermediate understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude

• Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

• Ability to stand walk and sit up

• Ability to use hand to finger handle and feel

• Ability to climb and balance

• Ability to stoop kneel bend crouch and crawl

• Ability to reach with hands and arms

• Ability to see talk and hear

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
