Position Overview:
As the AI Product Manager for Knowledge and Retrieval Systems you will define the vision strategy and roadmap for how Polaris captures organizes retrieves and delivers enterprise knowledge through AI-powered solutions. You will lead Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge-retrieval initiatives that support a variety of business functions. You will partner cross-functionally with business leaders IT teams and external vendors to deliver accurate trusted and scalable knowledge experiences. This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise AI capabilities that improve knowledge access employee productivity service effectiveness and customer outcomes across Polaris.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision strategy and roadmap for enterprise knowledge retrieval and AI-powered service experiences.
- Lead the strategy for RAG platforms knowledge repositories semantic search vector databases knowledge graphs and AI-powered knowledge delivery.
- Partner with business leaders to identify prioritize and deliver AI retrieval use cases that improve productivity service quality and customer experiences.
- Define strategies for ingesting chunking contextualizing and governing enterprise content to ensure AI systems retrieve accurate trusted and current information.
- Collaborate with AI Engineering Data and Analytics software engineering and vendor teams to improve retrieval quality relevance grounding citation accuracy and user experience.
- Lead the development of AI agents that use enterprise knowledge to support troubleshooting technical assistance and information discovery.
- Define and monitor performance measures such as answer quality query success rates citation accuracy user satisfaction productivity and service effectiveness.
- Partner with Security Legal and Compliance teams to establish governance and controls for enterprise knowledge access and responsible AI use.
- Lead organizational adoption of AI-assisted knowledge delivery and establish feedback loops with technicians dealers support teams and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging AI search and enterprise AI platform technologies.
- Own and manage the budget for related AI productivity initiatives including forecasting spending optimization and measurement of return on investment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Technology Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience within IT.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise technology transformation digital workplace or product or program management.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience owning and executing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) processes in a corporate environment.
- Experience managing AI search knowledge management or data-centric products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Technical experience with large language models semantic search embeddings vector databases knowledge graphs Python and AI-powered information retrieval.
- Experience measuring and optimizing AI solution quality through retrieval evaluation grounding citation accuracy and user-feedback mechanisms.
- Understanding of responsible AI data governance security and compliance requirements within enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience establishing product vision and roadmaps leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business value.
- Experience leading organizational change driving user adoption managing stakeholders and communicating with executive and end-user audiences.
- Experience owning budgets and developing business cases with measurable return on investment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/on-site work environment: three days in the office and two flexible -office days determined by management.
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $130000 to $170000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
