Education and Training:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- While certifications are not a strict requirement relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer may be considered as evidence of competency.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of software development experience with at least three (3) years focusing on cloud-based AI/ML applications.
- Strong proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages particularly Python JavaScript and TypeScript. Extensive experience in containerization and orchestration including Kubernetes-based application development.
- Proven track record in cloud-based software development especially with AWS services (e.g. Lambda API Gateway S3). Demonstrated experience with OAuth and OIDC protocols and modern single sign-on implementations.
- Solid understanding of AI workflows AI as a service endpoint and AI model self-hosting. Experience in developing user interfaces for AI applications particularly chat interfaces.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and GenAI technologies is essential.
- Experience with vector databases and implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment. Government or financial services industry experience preferred.
