AHS Assistant Boys Tennis Coach

Abilene High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Tennis Coach forthe upcoming spring 2027 season. Abilene High School is committed to developing student athletes through a positive competitive and growth-minded approach. We are looking for an enthusiastic coach who is passionate about teaching tennis building strong relationships and helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated coach to join a dedicated staff contribute to a strong tennis program and help continue the growth and success of Abilene Boys Tennis.

Duties of the position include (but are not limited to):

• Teaching and modeling the Abilene Athletics & Activities core values of Commitment Effort and Teamwork.
• Coaching in a transformative manner that builds strong relationships and helps student athletes grow not only as tennis players but also as people.
• Teaching tennis fundamentals stroke development footwork positioning singles and doubles strategies and competition skills.
• Preparing and implementing efficient focused practices that emphasize skill development tennis IQ and continuous improvement.
• Working collaboratively with the head coach to develop student athletes and build a positive competitive team culture.
• Assisting with match preparation tournament organization athlete development and other aspects of the boys tennis program.
• Providing positive leadership organization and encouragement while helping create a culture of excellence within the program.
• Following all policies and guidelines set forth by KSHSAA USD 435 and Abilene High School.
