QUALIFICATIONS:The succesful candidate shall demonstrate strong organizational communication human relations instructional classroom management team and public relations/community skills. Applicants should have a sincere interest and a commitment to work with students parents staff business community organizations and associate district schools. Career-Technical or Vocational Certificate/License in Agricultural Education or the ability to get one. Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education. High School diploma 5 years of recent verifiable work experinee in the field of Agriculture. Teaching and/or training classroom experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:Applicants must hold a Standard Career-Technical Trade and Industrial Job Training Agricultural Educational Certificate/License; OR (the following options must be approved on a VE-36 Qualification Evaluation Form by the district or on a VE-37 Teacher Eligibility and Education Verification Form) have a high school diploma or GED and five years of approved work experience (10000 hours with 6000 hours completed within the last five years) in Agricultural Educationalor a related field; OR have an Associate Degree inAgricultural Educationand three years of approved work experience (6000 hours completed within the last five years) in Agricultural Educational or a related field; OR Baccalaureate Degree not in Agricultural Education or Education and five years of approved work experience (10000 hours with 6000 hours completed within the last five years); OR Baccalaureate Degree in Education not in Agricultural Education and five years of approved work experience (10000 hours with 6000 hours completed within the last five years); OR Baccalaureate Degree in HVAC/R and two years of approved work experience (4000 hours completed within the last five years). Applicants from industry will be required to complete state university/college teacher preparation course work. (A pre-employment three or four-week summer class at a selected state university/college is required if the applicant is not certified/licensed as a teacher.) Passage of a basic skills test (PRAXIS I) is recommended prior to consideration for employment if the applicant is not certified/licensed.

DUTIES:The Agricultural Education Instructor will teach 7th - 12th gradeskills and knowledge in the field of Agriculture. Designs sequential instruction and learning activities to meet instructional goals. Prepare daily lesson plans. Maintain positive classroom management with consistent expectations for learning and achievement. Assist students in obtaining the skills necessary to be successful in the industry. Work closely with the immediate supervisor advisory committee and academic teachers to coordinate instruction and to prepare students for successful completion of the Agricultural Education program promoting a safe learning environment. Plan direct and evaluate the instructional process to best meet the needs of students. Proficient use of a personal computer. Actively engage with businesses for employment opportunities for students.

Contract:2026-2027 Contract - 185 contracted days. Contract to begin August18 2026 or earlier as needed.

Salary:Appropriate placement on 2026-2027 teachers salary schedule based on certification/licensure education/degree and experience.
