Afterschool Site Director

Partnershipwith Children provides criticalintegrated student supports includingcounseling school-wide services and family and community outreach in high-poverty New York City public schools so students can reach their full North Star: We believe that every child should have the cognitive social and emotional skills to be their authenticselves to develop self-sufficiency and to build the foundation for strong supportive relationships.

We are seekingAfterschoolSiteDirector (Middle School)whoisresponsible forthe daily management and oversight of an after-school program. They ensure child safety supervise staff manage the site budget and develop engaging educational and recreational activities. This role acts as the primary liaison between parents school administration and program includes the overalldevelopment supervision and adherence to program excellence and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations including attendance tracking enrollment and activity schedules.

• Hire train and directly supervise part-time employees and volunteers. Evaluate program staff to ensure that program goals are in alignment grant and funder requirements

• Provide programmatic fiscal and overall compliance oversight related to relevant contracts and funders including but not limited to DYCD NYCPS NYS DOE and ACS

• Ensure the sitecomplies withall state licensing health and safety regulations (e.g. Department of Health or SACC standards)

• Maintain accurate records for children staff incident reports and emergency procedures

• Onboardand train staffmembers to both Partnership withChildrenand DYCD policies and procedures

• Act as the primary point of contact for parents and caregivers addressing concerns and providing updates

• Work closely with school administration to ensure that afterschool programming aligns with the needs of the school community offering a wide range of enrichment programming

• Develop staffs management and leadership skills including conflict resolution

• Serve as a guide during crisis situations with children and youth

• Modeldevelopment and maintenance of key collaborative relationships including school principal school staff and various NYC Department of Education staff engaged at the school and District levels

• Directthe development of annualworkscopes rosters schedules progress and negotiate changes with stakeholders

• Ensure administrative records and data collection aretimelyand high quality including managing budgets

• Use data tomonitorand improve program quality and make programmatic decisions

• Be an active participant in Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) initiatives andutilizeyour knowledge and learning in your work

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education Youth Development Social Work Public Administration or a closely related fieldrequired.

• At least 2 years of experience working with children under the age of 13

• At least 2 years of supervisory and management experience developing and implementing youth and community development programs stafftrainingand development

• Deep knowledge of andexperiencewith afterschool OCFS and DOHregulationsisessential

• Exceptional managerial supervisory and staff development skills

• Understanding of change management as it relates to organizations and schools; ability to support staff in being change agents

• Superior engagementcommunicationand presentation skills with stakeholders including principals and parents

• Ability to form andmaintainstrong collaborative partnerships with colleaguesprincipalsand other strategic stakeholders

• Ability to thrive in a high autonomy/high accountability environment

• Ability to adapt; encourage opennessflexibilityand creativity in meeting programmatic and regulatory needs

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is$65000-$75000-commensuratewith credentials and experience.

This position is fully in-person and does not offer any remote be available to work evenings and Saturdays (as needed); school holidays and school recesses
