Maclay School is currently seeking responsible energetic after-schoolcounselors with a genuine passion for working with children to apply for the PreK & Lower School Kids Club After-School Counselor position for thecurrentacademic position will serve as an on-site leader for an assigned group of counselors and studentsby mentoring counselors supporting daily operations communicating with Auxiliary Program leadership and ensuring activities safety procedures and schedules are implemented consistently for the current school year.
Responsibilities:
Assistin supervising assigned counselors and students while serving as a primary point of contact for therespectiveKids Clubprogramdirectorregardingdaily operations behavior concerns and parent communication.
Fosterthe physical emotional and social well-being of students in theLowerSchoolsafterschoolKids Club seasonal program.
Support and engage inactivities that incorporateMaclays Mission and Visioninto the daily routine.
Leadgroupactivities that are developmentallyappropriate forthe age of the students attending.
Maintain records of attendance and sign-in/out sheetsprovided by the respective Director of Kids Club
Effectivedailycommunicationwiththe respective Director of Kids Clubwhen questions or concerns are presented.
Report any problems which arise with students enrichments or staff to theDirectorof Auxiliary Programs or respective Kids Club Directorin a timely manner.
Superviseassist and activelyparticipatein all aspects of thestudentsafternoon.
Maintain positive relationships withstudentsby showing sensitivity tostudentsemotional needs and problem solving anystudentissues effectively.
Act as a role model forstudentsby following all policies anddemonstratingenthusiasm sense of humor and self-control.
Implementand help teachpositivebehavior-managementand responsive classroomtechniques.
Helpmaintainspace and supplies.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
High School Diploma preferred degree in early childhood education (orpursingdegree)
Part-time availability Monday through Friday from 2:15pm 6:00pm
Demonstrated experienceleadingin a group setting.
Ability to teachlead andparticipateinvarious recreational activities.
Excellent character integrity and adaptability.
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels.
The desire and ability to work in a cooperativecollaborativeatmosphere.
Enthusiasm sense of humor patience and self-control.
Physical Requirements and ADA Statement
This role requires regular movement between classrooms and buildings participation in classroom observations and navigating indoor and outdoor spaces. The position also requires the ability to sit stand walk communicate clearlyoperatestandard technology and occasionallylift upto 2030 pounds.
