After-school Teacher

• interacts with children in positive supportive way.
• provide a safe environment following State of Michigan Child Care licensing regulations
• understands the value of outside play. A positive attitude about outdoor play regardless of weather is imperative
• provides positive experiences for students including planning craft and cooking projects playing games and helping with homework
• works well with other adults and shows flexibility
• positive daily communication with parents
• good writing skills needed when filling out forms
• completion of 16 training hours (paid time) per year outside of scheduled time
• attends monthly staff meetings

• Experience working with children in a school setting
• Ability to interact with children in active play including getting up and down on/off the floor
• The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
• Must be 18 years of age
• One on-site location
