Position Report to: Site Coordinator


Position :

The Safety & Support Lead serves as the primary point of contact for students families staff and visitors during after-school programming. This role helps maintain a safe welcoming environment by overseeing student release procedures monitoring campus access supporting emergency preparedness and building positive relationships with families and school partners.

Benefits:

  • Pay: $24$27/hour based on experience and regional location

  • Up to 15 paid holidays annually

  • Schedule: 2030 hours per week (after-school hours)

Qualifications:

  • Available to work consistently during after-school hours throughout the school year.

  • Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to supporting diverse youth and families.

  • Must pass required background and TB clearances

  • Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree and/or bilingual skills (Spanish Chinese or other languages)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure students are released only to authorized adults and monitor campus entry points.

  • Conduct safety checks and support emergency drills and response procedures.

  • Serve as a welcoming presence for students families and visitors.

  • Build positive relationships through responsive communication and excellent customer service.

  • Support daily attendance sign-in/sign-out procedures and front desk operations.

  • Assist students who need additional supervision emotional support or a break from activities.

  • Participate in program events trainings meetings and other site initiatives
