Job Summary
Role Description
The Aerospace Painter is a full-time on-site role based in Pensacola FL. This position is responsible for preparing masking and painting aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings specifications and industry standards. Daily tasks include surface preparation (cleaning sanding and degreasing) mixing and applying primers topcoats and specialty coatings and ensuring proper curing and finish quality. The role also involves inspecting completed work performing touch-ups and documenting work in line with quality and safety requirements. The Aerospace Painter works closely with production quality and engineering teams to maintain high standards of workmanship and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace or industrial painting processes including surface preparation masking and application of primers and topcoats.
- Knowledge of spray equipment operation basic maintenance of painting tools and safe handling of paints solvents and related materials.
- Understanding of technical drawings work instructions and specifications with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Familiarity with health safety and environmental regulations including the use of PPE and safe work practices in a paint shop environment.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Pensacola FL including standing for extended periods and handling physically demanding tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with production quality and engineering colleagues.
- Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing MRO or a similar precision industry is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial or aerospace painting is an advantage.
