The Mechanical Engineering Design Integration & Test (DI&T) group is hiring for an Engineer Aeronautical Level 2/3 at our Chandler AZ location.

Essential Functions:

Based on specific stated objectives performs analysis design or test of one or more complex materials structural components or functional systems of company products. Use advanced structural and product design engineering software tools. Knowledge of GD&T principles and application to designs
With Sr. Engineer guidance studies basic design concepts and criteria for complex materials components or functional systems
Applies engineering principles to adapt or improve upon heritage features from previous successful designs of a similar nature
Demonstrates a willingness to seek creative new and different ways to accomplish outcomes
Perform engineering design development analysis and/or test activities to support assigned projects
Develop test programs as needed to evaluate system elements such as materials structural components etc.
Manage test activities and test article fabrication including documentation of results
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications Engineer Aeronautical Level 2:

Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science Technology Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience.
Active US Government Secret Security clearance or higher at the time of application
Basic Qualifications Engineer Aeronautical Level 3:

Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science Technology Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters degree with 3 years of related engineering experience or a PhD in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience.
Active US DoD Secret Security clearance or higher at the time of application
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
Active US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on Mechanical Integration Experience preferably in Aerospace field
Primary Level Salary Range: $79300.00 - $118900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98400.00 - $147600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience education skills and current market conditions.
