The Aeroderivatives Services ITR (Inquiry to Remit) Engineer executes complex projects and develops bid strategy equipment offerings and technical proposals for conversion modification and upgrades (CM&U) to GE Vernovas aeroderivative installed fleet. This role spans the end-to-end ITR process (ITO-Inquiry to Order OTR- Order to Remit) partnering with Sales Commercial Product Management Sourcing Project Management customers and suppliers. Travel to customer meetings site surveys and conferences may be required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

PEM- Project Engineering Manager

  • As project engineering manager (PEM) oversee technical execution of complex Aero CM&U projects from handover to end of GE Vernova contractual obligations.
  • Develop and monitor project engineering schedule and budget and support PM with integrating customer/partner and GE Vernova engineering deliverables into overall project schedule while managing report outs on project status.
  • Develop and manage project technical strategy to mitigate risk.
  • Provide technical support for installation start-up and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure feedback for continuous improvement using the Lessons Learned process.

ITO- Inquiry to Order

  • Create clear accurate technical proposals for aeroderivative CM&Us ensuring fit with unit configuration customer needs GE Vernova design standards and quoting limits.
  • Partner with Sales to identify opportunities engage customers and respond to technical inquiries. Present and defend proposal content internally and with customers; own quality and on-time delivery of all assigned proposals.
  • Track industry technology and regulatory trends to shape new offerings; present at user conferences and technical reviews. Collaborate with suppliers on new technologies systems and components.
  • Support site surveys and develop practical sales tools (standards handbooks one-pagers) to improve responsiveness.

OTR- Order to Remit

  • Lead technical execution for electrical scope on CM&U projects managing scope schedule cost quality risk product cost and reliability.
  • Produce design packages (models assemblies drawings analyses layouts BOMs) and required technical documentation.
  • Communicate design recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers; present them in internal and customer reviews.
  • Provide technical and project leadership to peers; work multiple projects concurrently while meeting quality and customer schedule.
  • Adhere to GE Vernova policies and procedures engineering standards customer specifications and applicable government/commercial standards.

Lean

  • Leverage lessons learned customer and team feedback to continuously improve standards processes and tools.
  • Support a cross-functional program to develop standardize publish and maintain CM&U handbooks and standard technical write-ups for upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Min. 1 yr. experience with electrical systems for aeroderivative gas turbine packaging
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally

Desired Characteristics:

  • In-depth knowledge of Aeroderivative products
  • Masters in engineering
  • Demonstrated design experience on Aeroderivative products
  • Experience leading projects involving multi-disciplinary teams located globally
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide and influence others
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
  • Experience in technical customer support
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with cross-functional experience.
  • Knowledge of Standards applicable to aeroderivative gas turbine Packages
  • Background in integrated mechanical/electrical system design and BOM development/management
  • Knowledge of codes standards and grid interconnection requirements relevant to aeroderivative packages
  • Experience developing budgets and proposals; direct customer interaction and technical support

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $89300.00 and $148700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
