Aero Equipment ITR Electrical Engineering Manager

Job Summary
This role requires a solid technical foundation in engine package and systems integration as well as commercial acumen and customer-facing experience. Starting with design verification and validation of the gas turbine generator package this leader will define detailed work scope to meet or exceed contractual requirements make system-level trades set ITR product priorities and manage the broader global ITR team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead a global team of Electrical Engineers responsible for developing proposals for Aeroderivative Equipment and executing projects.
- Provide technical guidance develop solutions and execute tasks as part of the ITR process while interfacing with cross-functional teams.
- Develop execute and maintain a measurable technical training plan to increase the teams technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions for ITR processes and procedures.
- Work effectively with customers partners and suppliers to ensure the successful completion of proposals and projects. Resolve complex technical issues manage technical risk and implement sound application and project management processes.
- Develop tracking systems to ensure key performance milestones are met and reported through monthly operating rhythms.
- Coach develop and inspire the team. Establish and drive large-scale change. Create initiatives and strategies that are responsive to customer needs.
- Assure technical excellence and safety in our products. Exemplify unyielding compliance and ethical behavior.
- Collaborate with commercial product line engineering and supply chain teams to ensure the safe and on-time delivery of proposals and projects that meet customer expectations.
- Partner with Product Line Systems Engineering Systems Integration Leader and Supply Chain teams to reduce product and system costs improving customer value.
- Lead with a Lean mindset. Leverage Lean principles to reduce waste and improve customer value. Practice and promote Lean concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college of Science in Electrical Engineering degree or related technical field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience with strong understanding of gas turbines-based packages power generation products and quality.
Eligibility Requirements
- Relocation to Houston TX is required; Must be comfortable working a Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite 2 days remote).
- Must be comfortable at most traveling up to 25% within a year.
Desired Characteristics
- Proven expertise in the following areas: Gas Turbine & Power augmentation Gas Turbine Installation and Foundations Fuel systems design Hydraulic systems design Lube oil systems and TR&S compliance codes & standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a minimum of eight (8) years of exposure to power generation equipment manufacturing or packaging.
