Job Summary:

As the Aerial Lineman you will ultimately be responsible for repairing and maintaining aerial cable systems performing telecom construction activities and supporting outage restoration and emergency response. You will execute field operations and deliver reliable telecommunications infrastructure services. As the Aerial Lineman your customers are broadband operators and telecommunications providers and you will make meaningful contributions to the companys success through quality workmanship safety compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

Repair and maintain cable systems and aerial structures including lashing re-sagging strand pole transfers down-guys and cable replacements

Read and interpret work orders engineering drawings specifications and cut sheets to determine project scope and sequence

Perform construction work such as digging holes climbing poles placing/removing poles and anchors and pulling wire/cable

Operate power equipment such as compressors pumps hydraulic diggers and aerial lifts mounted on trucks

Install dismantle move and remove aerial underground and building wire/cable systems and associated hardware

Respond to emergency and outage situations requiring construction support and restoration services

Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education Licensing and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Valid drivers license required

CPR and First Aid knowledge preferred

Experience

25 years of recent telecommunications line construction experience

Experience in aerial line construction and maintenance

Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of telecom line construction practices procedures tools and materials

Ability to identify wire and cable color differences

Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drilling pole sizing and material measurements

Ability to work in confined spaces and at high elevations including poles ladders and lift buckets

Ability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends holidays and on-call assignments

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Commitment to supporting company values and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of underground and substructure construction

Experience with outage restoration and emergency telecom construction support

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

Ability to climb poles ladders machinery and other elevated structures

Ability to push pull reach and carry tools materials and equipment

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and remote locations

Ability to work in confined spaces and maintain visual focus including depth perception

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
