About the position
This role functions as a strategic Chief of Staff to the SVP Chief Medical Officer with a strong focus on providing executive-level support strategic leadership and operational oversight to advance organizational priorities. The Advisor proactively manages strategic initiatives executive priorities and cross-functional efforts to maximize leadership effectiveness productivity and organizational impact. Acting as a connector across departments and stakeholders the role promotes transparency collaboration and shared accountability.
Job Summary
Provides a wide range of complex services to support a Senior Vice President level executive who is engaged in the strategic management of the organization. Proactively relieves the executive of workload by functioning in a Chief of Staff capacity; managing and working collaboratively with team members throughout the department across the organization and externally to furnish the executive with needed information analysis and materials to ensure the executive can make the most of their time and achieve sharp gains in productivity efficiency effectiveness and impact. Partners closely with the Advisor to the President of Priority Health and fellow Sr. VP level advisors as well as other key roles to ensure well-balanced and aligned support of the Senior Leadership Team from a holistic perspective. Under minimal supervision is responsible for the assessment analysis planning implementation and evaluation of our strategy and complex programs and/or projects. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process. Performs all duties necessary to ensure the executive meets their working obligations and deadlines in an as efficient productive and sustainable manner as addition accountable for the development and management of the department leaders these additional duties include but are not limited to facilitating leadership development cohorts encouraging growth on our DEI journey amongst the team and company interviewing of key leadership roles and coaching/mentoring. Acts as a role model and resource for all staff.
Essential Functions
Improves the productivity of the executive by diligently working behind the scenes and partnering with others to limit distractions from entering the purview of the executive thus allowing them to focus on the highest leverage opportunities. Anticipates problems generates innovative solutions and is especially sensitive to issues that require diplomacy. Interfaces seamlessly with any level of the organization and collaborates with individuals from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds communicating easily using whatever medium is required. Further utilizes the appropriate software applications to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the executives and their direct reports workloads.
Works autonomously to prepare complex information such as documents reports charts and graphs using a variety of software. Performs independent research and prepares information and analytical analysis for special projects board level presentations executive-level communications etc. Liaises with key stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Independently maintains accountability for completion of assigned projects.
Develops and coordinates the assessment analysis planning implementation and evaluation of complex/multi-faceted projects/programs.
Communicates collaborates networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
Serves the organization by flexing between strategy and execution in a highly organized adaptable and influential manner.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and functions as an ambassador of Corewell Health/Priority Health modeling and sharing our core values with health consumers partners and employees.
Builds a strong relationship with Provider Network and Health Plan Operations business leaders to understand and anticipate their needs in order to help inform key strategic planning and decision making.
Assists in monitoring and reporting key performance indicators for leaders.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in analytics biostatistics economics business administration healthcare administration finance or another related field. Required
Masters Degree or equivalent in public health management or administration. Preferred
7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: management project management program management process improvement experience. Required
