Job Summary
Advancement Student Assistant
Position Overview: The Advancement Student Assistant will work with the Office of Advancement to help achieve their strategic goals related to engaging and encouraging support from alumni and friends. The job will include a variety of skill-building projects to help the student gain practical experience in the areas of alumni relations donor stewardship multi-channel communications (mail email phone text video) marketing and database addition the job will entail a variety of hands-on tasks.
Essential Duties:
- Assist advancement staff in ongoing administrative work as it relates to on and off campus engagement events
- Computer tracking (i.e. posting alumni engagement and updating advancement data). Complete database maintenance projects in an accurate and confidential manner.
- Post class notes news stories and other information to our alumni and friends website. Reach out to constituents of CSP through telephone email and other social networking avenues
- Assist with the assembly of mailing and other projects.
- Conduct multi-channel solicitations and other outreach to alumni and friends with the goal of securing financial donations.
To be eligible to be a CSP student employee one must:
- Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
- Have a United States social security number.*
- Have proper identification as determined by Form I-9.
- Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
- Have declared a major with CSP.
- For summer employment priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
