Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARYThe Development Coordinator supports fundraising and donor engagement efforts that sustain and grow the JCCs impact as a vibrant center for Jewish life and community connection. This role supports the execution of development strategies campaigns and events. This position is ideal for a highly organized detail-oriented professional who is passionate about Jewish communal life and eager to grow in the field of nonprofit YOU WILL DOFundraising & Donor EngagementSupport grants sponsorships fundraising and annual giving initiatives that advance the JCCs mission and programsAssist in the identification cultivation stewardship and recognition of donors sponsors and community partnersPrepare donor-facing materials including appeals and acknowledgment letters. Track donor activity pledges and engagement to ensure timely thoughtful follow-up and stewardshipEvents & Community EngagementSupport the planning and execution of signature JCC fundraising board and community events including Hall of Fame JLive Block Party and MaccabiCoordinate event logistics including vendor management timelines registration invitation lists and event materialsProvide on-site event support including evenings and occasional weekendsDatabase & Gift ProcessingMaintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the CRM system and special events databaseProcess gifts in NPSP and generate timely acknowledgment letters tax receipts and related donor documentationTrack donor engagement and ensure data integrity for reporting segmentation and communicationsCommunications & Marketing SupportAssist in drafting and reviewing fundraising donor and event communications including marketing materials email and social media contentCollaborate with marketing staff to ensure alignment of messaging across JCC campaigns centers and programsResearch & Administrative SupportConduct prospect research to support the expansion of corporate sponsors and community engagement strategiesAssist with grant writing reporting and trackingSupport recognition and community-building initiatives to include awards honors and volunteer engagementProvide administrative support including meeting coordination note-taking and tracking follow-up for the development teamOther duties as YOU ARE13 years of experience in nonprofit development fundraising event planning or related field preferredFamiliarity with the Jewish community Jewish communal organizations or a strong interest in Jewish life and valuesExperience working with volunteers or lay leaders preferredExperience with donor databases or CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce NPSP) strongly preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and comfort learning new systemsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with staff volunteers and community stakeholdersAbility to maintain confidentiality professionalism and a high level of discretionFlexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and donor engagementCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Salary (or Salary Range): $55000-$65000Benefit & Perks: The JCC offers a comprehensive benefits package including generous time off paid holidays health dental and vision insurance 401(k) employer match FSA/HSA options life insurance long term disability complimentary membership to the Jewish Community Center discounts on programs including preschool and summer camp and wellbeing job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and incumbent will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by supervisor or other management as required.
