Position: Forklift Mechanic

Location: City of Industry closer to Whitter area

Pay Rate: $39.88-$60.71

Requirements:

  • Inspect service and repair forklifts and farm equipment
  • Repair of forklifts primarily branded Cat Mitsubishi Jungheinrich Manitou Kalmar Harlo Genie and other Allied equipment or components following established procedures and guidelines
  • Disassemble overhaul repair and reassemble engines transmission differential clutch brake electrical system fuel system and any other part related to material handling or farm equipment
  • Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service
  • Use all tools of the trade including precision instruments welding equipment shop machines overhead hoists and power tools in adjusting and repairs
  • Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork including work orders safety inspections timesheets
  • Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade
  • Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly and follows all safety rules and procedures
  • Required to work overtime if needed

Qualifications

One-year certificate or associates degree from a community college or technical school; Minimum five plus years of CAT dealer experience and ten years heavy equipment industry experience or equivalent education and experience.
