Job Summary
We are seeking anAdvanced Manufacturing Tech Level I (Swiss)to perform a variety of essential tasks and operations required to support and execute CNC Swiss department priorities and production goals. They will focus on operating specialized Swiss CNC machinery inspecting finished micro-components maintaining accurate electronic logs and performing routine preventative upkeep within a sterile medical device environment. Adherence to established safety protocols regulatory frameworks and strict quality guidelines is essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate designated CNC Swiss machines to support daily production schedules and maintain on-time delivery metrics for medical device customers.
- Perform baseline tool wear monitoring and structural checks on cutting components immediately reporting physical degradation findings to the team lead or supervisor.
- Execute straightforward machine tool offset adjustments under direct supervision to maintain dimensional stability during active production runs.
- Perform regular in-process part inspections using specialized hand tools and vision systems to identify and isolate out-of-tolerance components.
- Read and interpret job travelers technical blueprints mechanical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols to machine devices accurately.
- Navigate and utilize the EPICOR ERP system to accurately input track and complete operational production transactions related to assigned job runs.
- Maintain thorough accurate production logs by systematically completing physical and electronic forms reports equipment sheets and validation records.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine daily calibration procedures on manufacturing equipment according to established protocols.
- & Safety: Maintain a highly organized safe and clean workspace in strict accordance with company safety guidelines and OSHA hazard regulations.
- Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Standard Work Instructions (SWI) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Assist with internal and external quality audits by maintaining absolute compliance with the companys overarching Quality Management System (QMS).
- Transport lift and load raw metal stock and production materials into machine bar feeders ensuring continuous material feeds for manufacturing systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent educational certification is required.
- 1-3 years of experience working within an active CNC machining environment cleanroom or assembly manufacturing facility.
- Practical working knowledge of standard physical measuring instruments including calipers micrometers hard gages and digital vision inspection systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate production discrepancies system errors or tooling issues to floor supervisors.
- Strong finger/hand dexterity acute visual and auditory senses and the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and routinely lift up to 40 lbs.
- Basic familiarity navigating Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software platforms.
- Exposure to medical device manufacturing protocols cleanroom regulations and strict quality control standards. (Preferred)
