The Advanced Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for entering all Holter Monitor and/or Cardiac Event Monitor studies in cardiac software ensuring compliance for joint commission in addition to all responsibilities for the CV Tech. This role will act as lead when leader is not available and be responsible for the day to day operation of the department.

Full-Time Day Shift

Are you an experienced cardiovascular professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys taking on leadership responsibilities Join our team as an Advanced Cardiovascular Technician where youll play a vital role in supporting quality patient care overseeing daily department operations and serving as a key resource for physicians staff and patients.

This position combines hands-on cardiac diagnostic testing with leadership responsibilities quality assurance oversight staff training and department coordination. The Advanced Cardiovascular Technician serves as a department expert and assists with day-to-day operations when leadership is unavailable.

What Youll Do

Advanced Cardiac Monitoring & Diagnostic Testing

  • Enter and manage Holter Monitor and Cardiac Event Monitor studies within cardiac software systems.
  • Ensure documentation and processes meet Joint Commission compliance standards.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs).
  • Apply Holter monitors and cardiac event monitors.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all tracings received.
  • Communicate monitor findings promptly and accurately with ordering and corresponding physicians.

Department Operations & Leadership

  • Serve as the department lead when leadership is unavailable.
  • Support daily workflow and operational efficiency within the department.
  • Oversee quality assurance (QA) measurements and initiatives.
  • Act as the departments cardiac software superuser and subject matter expert.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Support physicians and clinical staff with chart preparation dictation patient flow and other clinical support activities.

Training & Team Development

  • Precept and mentor new hires students and current team members as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure competency and adherence to department standards.
  • Promote a collaborative patient-focused work environment.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain departmental supplies and monitor supply expiration dates.
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills

  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • One year of related experience previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program.

Certifications

  • Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)
  • Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)
  • Certified EKG Technician (CET)

Additional Qualifications

  • Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Leadership training or precepting experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly push pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently grip reach bend kneel twist and squat while performing job duties.
