Lake Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Baking & Pastry Arts Instructor to join our supportive Culinary Arts team. If you have a passion for baking pastry arts and mentoring future professionals wed love to hear from you.

This position teaches our 600-hour Baking & Pastry Arts program which runs annually from mid-August through mid-April during evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging hands-on instruction in baking and pastry arts.
• Prepare students for success in the culinary industry through classroom and laboratory instruction.
• Demonstrate proper techniques food safety sanitation and industry best practices.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe organized and professional learning environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of culinary instructors and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of professional baking and pastry industry experience.
• ServSafe Food Managers certification preferred or willingness to obtain the certification quickly.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior teaching or training experience is a plus but not required.
