The Johnson County Mental Health Center is currently recruiting forACT Program Manager(Manager IV). This position directs and oversees the operations at the Adolescent Center for Treatment(ACT) within Johnson County Mental Health ACT Program Manager is responsible for the clinical and operational aspects of a residential treatment center for youth. The manager hires trains and evaluates the performance of clinical staff the Direct Care Staff Manager and support staff. The manager works with stakeholders (schools court services alcohol/drug treatment providers etc.) to facilitate referrals at admission and discharge.First review of applications will be on July 14th.

Job Description

Jobduties include:

  • Provides clinical supervision of ACT clinical staff; monitors staff adherence to documentation including quality and timeliness of services treatment plans service provision and reports; evaluates client access engagement and retention rates; oversees contract staff and identifies facility improvement needs; works with stakeholders to facilitate client admissions and promote the program.
  • Reviews and updates protocols and procedures manages outcome measures and assist with grant reports. Focus on program development and staff development and conducts monthly internal All Staff meetings.
  • Implements performance improvement plans with staff; promotes the use of evidence-based practices and programming; provides opportunities for staff development through training and coaching.
  • Conducts client screenings and assessments for individuals seeking admission to ACT; ensures that services are delivered and documented in accordance with established agency guidelines.
  • Assesses intervenes and coordinates resolution of crisis situations on a 24 hour basis to ensure client and staff safety and minimize agency exposure to risk.
Job Requirements

Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or other Human Services Field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the masters level in the area of focus is required. A KS/MO drivers license and good driving record are also required. If candidate is not a licensed addiction counselor he or she must obtain licensure as an Addiction Counselor or a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor in Kansas within 1 year of hire date.

Kansas Behavioral Sciences at the clinical level and one year of experience in substance use disorders and supervisory or leadership experienceare preferred.
