Schedule: Full Time (Availabilityto work every other weekend)

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To this end Acadia Healthcare is currently interested in hearing from dynamicresults driven candidates who may be a fit for theAdmissionsSpecialistposition.

TheAdmissionsSpecialistwill be primarily responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility andmaintainingcommunications between the organization and thepatientreferralsand family.

Treatment at Bowling Green is based on the belief that chemical dependency is a highly treatable issue that can be arrested through an approach that employs medical pharmacological clinical behavioral and 12-Step interventions.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Promptly respond to inbound referrals via phone fax webform etc. toassistclients and theirfamilyswho are seeking treatment.
  • Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria policies and procedures.
  • Initiate contact to gatherclinical and demographic data frompatientand other sources.
  • Respond promptly to inquiry calls.
  • Schedule assessments.
  • Assistprospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.
  • Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when notappropriate forfacilityassistanceor admission.
  • Coordinate with referral sources.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients.
  • Responsible formaintainingall thedocumentation involved with the admissions process.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

STANDARD EXPECTATIONS:

  • Complieswithorganizational policies procedures performance improvement initiatives andmaintainsorganizational and industry policiesregardingconfidentiality.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively toperson(s) receiving services and their family membersguestsand other members of the health care team.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others andmaintainsthem overtime.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trustrespectand cooperation among team members.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degreepreferred
  • Two years experience in healthcare admissions preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Certified AddictionsCounselor (CAC); Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDS) or Certified Employee Assistance Program (CEAP) certification preferred.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification(training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may bebased on state or facility.
