Job Description:
The University of Florida is seeking a detail-oriented Admissions Officer I to support the review and processing of applications for undergraduate graduate professional certificate distance and online programs. This role includes evaluating admission credentials and residency documentation managing admissions data and assisting applicants academic departments and campus partners. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and customer service skills attention to detail and the ability to manage complex processes in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Include:

Application Processing & Evaluation

  • Process undergraduate graduate professional certificate distance and online program applications.
  • Review admission credentials and supporting documents for completeness and eligibility.
  • Determine residency classifications and assess immigration-related documentation.
  • Assist with application troubleshooting exception reporting and term change requests.
  • Support cross-training and knowledge sharing within the application services team.

Applicant & Department Support

  • Advise applicants and departments on admission requirements and outstanding documentation.
  • Respond to admissions inquiries via phone email and other service channels.
  • Support OneStop staff with escalated admissions questions and training resources.
  • Participate in outreach committee work and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain and update admissions data in Slate MyAdmissions and Campus Solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and support system integration processes.
  • Create and maintain organization and school records to ensure data accuracy across systems.

Admitted Student Processing

  • Finalize admitted student records and verify enrollment requirements.
  • Manage admission holds and evaluate hold deferral requests in preparation for registration.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned in support of Admissions.
Expected Salary:

$43888 annually

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of methods of compiling organizing and analyzing data.
  • Ability to establish work priorities coordinate the timely completion of work assignments strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with customer service and public relations.
  • Ability to plan organize and coordinate work and training assignments.
  • Experience with Slate and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
