Admissions Nurse (RN)

The Admissions Nurse (RN) will provide initial client assessment and screening for admission to the Detox Unit. This is a full-time 40-hour per week position.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 6p-2:30a

• Assess clients thoroughly for admission.
• Accurately transcribe and implement physicians orders.
• Assess clients withdrawing from substances using facility approved assessment scales.
• Develop appropriate and effective initial treatment plans for all active problems identified in the admission nursing assessment.
• Accurately complete medication reconciliations upon admission.
• Educate clients on medications health maintenance substance abuse and other applicable topics.
• Perform searches of clients upon admission.
• Communicate client medical and behavioral changes and any special precautions to appropriate clinical and medical staff for ongoing intervention. Act as liaison between members of the Clinical Team and Medical Departments.
• Document in client medical record in an accurate and timely manner according to facility requirements.
