Description of Work

The primary purpose of this position is to provide program and office administration consultative and technical support activities for the federally mandated nurse aide training programs. The Administrative Supervisor oversees the Nurse Aide and Medication Aide Registry and engages staff in group trainings and one on one training sessions for individual employees that need additional training assistance. Audits are completed from the work of the Administrative Assistant are audited each month to ensure work processes and procedures are completed correctly.

The Administrative Supervisor also oversees and assists with Nurse Aide reciprocities applications as well as the review of Nurse Aide I legal documents and online renewal forms for Nurse Aides to assist our customers and allow them to complete their Registry Renewal from our website. Works closely with management to report Registry data to various entities in the State and Federal governments.

  • Provide guidance and correctly apply federal and state regulatory and policy requirements to health care facilities and educational entities.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively program information (verbal and written) to persons from a wide range of educational and socioeconomic levels.
  • Exercise independent judgement in determining appropriate responses for resolution of problems or in determining an appropriate referral for the client.
  • Possess proficient knowledge skills set in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills organizational skills and be flexible and able to manage stressful situations effectively and function with limited supervision and follow directions.

This position is funded in part through federal funds.

This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.

The Division of Health Service Regulationoversees medical mental health and adult care facilities emergency medical services and local jails. We check to see that people receiving care in these facilities are safe and receive appropriate care. We make certain that medical buildings are built only when there is a need for them.
