Administrative Supervisor Internal Candidates Only

The Administrative Supervisor assumes the responsibility for the administrative andtechnical supervision of all personnel during designated times when hospital managementteam is not in the hospital. The Administrative Supervisor plans organizes directs andsupervises other professional and non-professional staff in the administering of excellentpatient care and customer service. Functions as a resource person for supervisory staffmembers and assists in necessary education of individual supervisory members of nursingstaff. The Administrative Supervisor administers analyzes and reformulates objectives forthe hospital on a case-by-case basis. The Administrative Supervisor meets organizationalgoals and takes a proactive view anticipating change and need for coordinationwith Department Directors facilitates hospital wide patient care activities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelors degreerequired Masters preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Previous clinical nursing experience. Previous managementexperience in nursing preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. BLS throughthe American Heart Association required. Advance Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS) certification through the American HeartAssociation within 6 months of hire date.

REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills communication skills. Computer skills.
