Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adultswith intellectual disabilitiesAutism Spectrum Disorder and dual diagnoses.LocatedinRed HookNY this positionwillprovide administrative support to the IRA Residential Leadership team to ensure that office operations are performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. They will perform their duties in a confidentialmanner andbe responsive to customer needs.They willcomposeroutine correspondence;prepareschedules and forms; editmaterial to ensure correct spellingandpunctuation;andfile and/or distributematerialsappropriately.The Administrative Specialist will answerthetelephonescreen callsrecord messages provide informationandroute calls toappropriate personnel.They will alsomaintainrecords and preparereports for submission to funding agencies accreditation agencies parents/legal guardians other departments etc.They willestablishand maintainvarious file systems. The Administrative Specialist will alsoschedule meetings prepare agendas and document meeting minutes including tracking action items through completion.The ideal candidate should have thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially MS Word MS Excel and MSPowerpoint.

Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)

With HS Diploma/GED - $23.50 - $25.14 per hour

With BA/BS - $24.50 - $26.21 per hour

With MA/MS or higher - $25.50 - $27.28 per hour

EDUCATION: HighSchool Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Associates degree preferred.Proficientin Microsoft applications.

EXPERIENCE: Oneyearoffice experience in similar setting performing similar duties required.Previousexperience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant prolonged and frequent amounts of walking standing sitting stoopingbendingand lifting 10lbsor more is required. Must be able tooperateand maintain office equipment.Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs alcohol inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances.
